Cope West 2019 Resmi Berakhir

Berlangsung selama dua pekan, latihan bersama Cope West 2019 secara resmi ditutup dengan upacara militer di Lanud Sam Ratulangi Manado, Jumat (28/06/2019).

Dilansir dari laman TNI AU (28/ 06/ 2019), Bertindak selaku inspektur upacara Komandan Pangkalan Udara Iswahjudi (Danlanud Iwj) Marsma TNI Widyargo Ikoputra didampingi Wing Commander Hawaii Air National Guard Brigadier General Ryan T. Okahara.

Dalam sambutannya, Danlanud Iwj menyampaikan rasa syukur karena seluruh rangkaian latihan dapat berjalan dengan aman, lancar, dan mencapai semua tujuan yang direncanakan.

“Hal terpenting dalam latma ini adalah memperkuat dan mempererat jalinan persahabatan yang sudah ada, baik antar negara, angkatan udara serta perorangan di dalamnya, yang pasti akan sangat berguna di masa mendatang,” tambah Marsma TNI Widyargo.

Dalam kesempatan ini Danlanud Iwj juga menyampaikan ucapan terima kasih serta penghargaan kepada semua pihak yang telah memberikan dukungan dan bantuan terhadap kelancaran pelaksanaan latihan.

Sementara itu, Brigadier General Ryan T. Okahara mengatakan, ikatan persahabatan yang muncul selama latihan ini merupakan hal penting untuk meningkatkan kerja sama keamanan dan hubungan persahabatan di antara Indonesia dan Amerika Serikat.

“Tak ada satu negara pun yang dapat memastikan adanya keamanan dan stabilitas secara sendiri dan latihan ini merupakan contoh tepat mengenai bagaimana dua sahabat dapat bekerja sama untuk mencapai tujuan yang sama,” lanjutnya.

Di akhir sambutannya, BG Ryan T. Okahara mengucapkan selamat atas keberhasilan pelaksanan latihan, seraya mengatakan akan selalu mendoakan langgengnya persahabatan yang sudah ada, serta berharap akan dapat meningkatkan kompleksitas latihan di Cope West 2020.
